Upp Living

On the site of a former office location, we designed 190 homes with a wide variety of floor plans. The plan consists of a low-rise section that follows the contours of the urban subdivision. At the north and south ends of the development, two height accents provide visibility from both the city center of Alphen and the station. The homes are accessed via a central corridor, creating activity on all sides of the development. Parking and storage are located underground, the ground level is landscaped with greenery, and the base plinth also contains residences to enhance livability.

The low-rise and high-rise sections share the same architectural language in terms of façade openings, while the materials have been differentiated so that each mass is still recognizable on its own. The low-rise buildings are designed in masonry, while the height accents will be executed in light architectural concrete. By incorporating loggias and balconies, a lively yet calm façade composition is achieved.
