Jeroen Baars graduated in Architecture at the Academie van Bouwkunst van Amsterdam (Academy of Architecture Amsterdam) in 2007. Before that, in 2001, he completed the Hogeschool van Utrecht (University of Applied Sciences Utrecht). While studying at the Academy he worked at several firms to gain work experience. He worked at JDdV architects for seven years and was self-employed for two years.
From the moment he saw as a teenager bricks being stacked for the extension to his parents’ home Jeroen knew that he wanted to be an architect. The makeability of buildings still fascinates him. He went all the way via MTS (middle level applied/technical training), HTS (higher level applied/technical training) to the Academy, which illustrates his drive and commitment. Furthermore he likes boxing, so we never make him angry.
